            Happy Spring 2013!  We hope your year is off to a great start.  Here at Costume Inventory Resources we’ve been busy creating a major update to the Costume Inventory Database Professional and Elite programs, a new company logo and preparing for the USITT conference, and more.

       Here is a list of what’s new for you!

◊  The Costume Inventory Database – Pro and Elite version 3-3  is now on the website and ready for download.  There are many new features – an improved way to assign Performers to Roles and Ensembles in a Production, new reports for performers and props, improved storage location fields, new sorting on the ID #’s for Costume and Props IDs, data audit utilities and international currency features.

◊  If you would like to upgrade your current database to the new version, please contact me.  The upgrade is not as simple as it used to be so I will need to do the upgrade for you.  Please call or email to set an appointment for me to do the free upgrade.

◊  The User Guide for the Pro/Elite version 3-3 has been completely rewritten.  It is 75 pages of information including details on the new features, new appendices with support information and more.  It is available for download from the website Support / User Guides page.  Download it here:  http://www.costumeinventory.com/User_Guides.html

◊  New modules will be coming soon – including a Scripts/Scores module that will allow you to check out scripts, scores, or books to your students/company members.  Look for this at the end of March.  I will be showing it at USITT.

◊ A new Theatre Equipment database will be added soon to help you track Sound, AV and other equipment.  It will be similar to the Props database in that you can enter records, do searches, print reports and checkout/rent items.  Look for this at the end of April.

◊  New Company Logo – We have expanded our logo to include “Theatre” so that the Props, Lighting, Sound and Technical Directors will know that we have products to help them as well.  Logo w Blue Light

◊  We have added a new product to the store – Adhesive Business Card holders/pockets that go on the Rack Dividers.  You can print 2” x 3 ½” cards (business card size) from the Costume Inventory Database with the Roles of a Production or the Production name and place them in these pockets.  The cards are easy to read and change as needed.   These pockets fit the Rack Dividers better than the Avery business card holders and are a little less expensive.

            Please note that there will be some price increases starting March 4th.  The Costume Inventory Database Pro/Elite will now be priced at $300, Standard Costume Inventory at $225, Props Inventory Database Pro/Elite – $100, Lighting Inventory Database – $125 and Pattern Inventory Database – $30.  The Startup Packages will increase too.  The Inventory Tags and Labels will stay at the same price but tag/label orders of less than $50 will now have a $5.50 shipping fee.  Custom programing charges will increase as well.  Please check the price list on the website for full details.  ** If you refer a friend to Costume & Theatre Inventory Resources I will give you a 10% off coupon!  Contact me for details.

New Product ! Adhesive Business Card Holders

We have added a new product to help you with your costume collection.  The King Size Rack Dividers are great to organize your costumes but it would be nice to know what you have on the rack between those dividers.  You can print out Avery labels to go on the dividers for a permanent label.  But during a production you might want to identify all the roles in a production.   You can print Business Card sized cards from the Costume Inventory Database with your productions and role names.  Now to put those cards on the rack dividers we have new Adhesive Business Card holders that peel and stick right on the Rack Divider.  You can slip the business card with the role in and it will be easy for your actors / dancers to find their costumes.  We sell them in Quantities of 50 per package.
